Cathedral Corporation VP for Client Relations and Postal Affairs
Named Postal Customer Council Industry Leader for 2023

Rome, NY – Kimberley J. Waltz, vice president for client relations and postal affairs at Cathedral Corporation, has been named the Postal Customer Council (PCC) Industry Leader Bronze Winner for 2023, according to the United States Postal Service.

On June 29, the U.S. Postal Service (USPS) recognized Postal Customer Councils (PCCs) throughout the nation for their outstanding achievements and innovations in 2023, and announced winners of the
PCC Leadership Awards during an event held at Postal Service Headquarters in Washington, D.C.

“Kim’s extensive experience and expertise in the mailing industry has been invaluable not only to Cathedral, but also to other postal service customers through her service on the Postmaster General’s Mailers Technical Advisory Committee (MTAC) and on the Coalition for a 21st Century Postal Service,” known as C21, said Marianne Gaige, chairwoman and CEO of Cathedral Corporation. “We are grateful for her continued service throughout the postal community.”

PCCs are a grassroots network that provide a local channel for USPS business mailers and the Postal Service to continue building upon their relationships so they can increase the use of mail and work on solving concerns and challenges together. These relationships provide a means to share best mailing and shipping practices, as well as give PCCs around the country opportunities to connect and learn from each other.

PCC Leadership Awards
are presented each year by the Postal Service in recognition of exemplary work to strengthen and grow the PCC network. More than 220 nominations were submitted this year.
Waltz, representing the Postal Customer Council of Providence, Rhode Island, was honored with the PCC Industry Leader Bronze Award. She is the only person ever to twice receive the honor.

Waltz, who has held her current position at Cathedral for the past 14 years, has amassed more than 35 years’ experience in the mailing industry. She has been nationally recognized by the United States Postal Service (USPS) for her leadership within the mailing community and is the current National Industry Co-Chair of the AIM (Areas Inspiring Mail) Group. She is a member of the Postmaster General’s Mailers Technical Advisory Committee and on the Executive Committee for the Providence, R.I. Postal Customer Council. She is the postal liaison for the Imaging Network Group (ING), representing the organization at MTAC and on the Coalition for a 21st Century Postal Service (C21).

Waltz has been a key supporter of the Postal Customer Council Program, serving on the USPS National PCCAC Advisory Committee for several years, including holding the position as National Industry Co-Chair from 2006-2008. She is a member of CISA’s EISCC ballot paper workgroup helping support seamless election mail throughout the country, and has been a frequent presenter at the National Postal Forum and numerous Postal Customer Councils around the country, along with presenting at national business organizations and conferences. She is one of the three founding members of the Leaders Connect program, a mentoring platform for identifying and educating new leadership for the Industry. She is the former president of the Offering Envelope Association and has received several achievement awards.
